Visit? "The Cat House" - Exotic Feline Breeding Compound

The Exotic Feline Breeding Compound is located in Rosamond, California near Edwards Air Force Base.  they were founded in 1977 and are a non-profit organization with their own 501(c)(3) number.

Here are some key points:

• They are home to more than 70 inhabitants that comprise more than 18 different species.  Click here to see pictures of them.
• They are closed on Wednesdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and "Feline Follies" day (August 14, 2010 this year). This last day looks like it has limited admission and is used for fundraising.

If you will be traveling from a fair distance, you may want to consider combining this visit with a visit to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve since it looks like they are about 30 minutes apart.
